We crossed into Louisiana about 7am on Friday, and immediately put on "the tape", the Cajun music we'd been saving just for that. And Louisiana, unlike some places I have been to in my life, immediately looked exactly like I always hoped it would. We drove along, on Interstate 10 (the "Swamp Freeway"), listening to Cajun music, and watched the fog rising off the water in the swamp on either side of the road. It was just beautiful.
