Armadillos!
We saw these at the visitor's center in the Atchafalaya Swamp. We had never seen live ones and were really excited by these. I'd always thought of them as slow, like possums, but they are actually quick and bouncy! The people at the visitor's center scoffed at us because armadillos are sort of pests in the South. They root up gardens and lawns; that's one of their little burrow holes in the picture. I think they're great! Like giant roly-poly bugs.
