Decorative ironwork... I did not hear a dog, but perhaps it was out somewhere.

A classic New Orleans single shotgun house. Shotgun houses are built throughout the South (for example, in Memphis), but I think NOLA has the most.

This building used to be a storefront, but now I think it's just someone's house. I love the detail under the awning.
It's sunny, warm and beautiful here--some days a bit hot and sticky. It's definitely already springtime.
